Dieser Fachbericht benennt Normen und Standards, technische Spezifikationen, technische Berichte und Leitlinien, die zur Implementierung einer Geodateninfrastruktur (GDI) in Europa erforderlich sind. Er gibt Empfehlungen dazu, ob diese Dokumente Europäische Normen werden sollten und schlägt einen 'Fahrplan' für künftige Normungsprojekte vor. Weiterhin werden Massnahmen empfohlen, die zur Unterstützung der Implementierung und Pflege einer GDI zu treffen sind. Auf diese Weise spricht der Bericht eine Reihe von Themen an, darunter: - Mehrsprachigkeit; - einheitliche Identifizierung von Geoinhalten; - Konformitätsprüfung; - Metadaten für geographische Informationen, einschliesslich eines Profils für den Katalogdienst und Leitlinien für dessen Umsetzung; - WMS- und WFS-Profile und Leitlinien für deren Umsetzung.
