Diese Vornorm gilt für Planung, Einbau, Betrieb und Instandhaltung von Gefahrenwarnanlagen für Wohnhäuser, Wohnungen und Räume mit wohnungsähnlicher Nutzung, soweit keine Richtlinien, Verordnungen, Auflagen gelten, in denen auf andere Normen verwiesen wird. Gefahrenwarnanlagen dienen der frühzeitigen Warnung zur Vermeidung bzw. Reduzierung von Personen- und Sachschäden, die durch Einbruch, Bedrohung, Brand, gefährliche Gase und austretendes Wasser sowie technische Defekte entstehen können, zur Abwehr bei Belästigung und/oder Bedrängung und auch zur Kommunikation mit Personen in Notfallsituationen, die sich im Bereich der GWA befinden.
