Diese Richtlinie gilt für Beschleunigungsmessgeräte mit seismischen Aufnehmern. Sie gilt auch für Beschleunigungsaufnehmer allein sowie für seismische Aufnehmer und Messgeräte für die translatorischen Bewegungsgrössen Geschwindigkeit und Weg sowie die rotatorischen Bewegungs-grössen Winkelbeschleunigung, Winkelgeschwindigkeit und Drehwinkel. Die Richtlinie ergänzt die internationale Norm ISO 16063-1.
