FANR-REG-19 : ISSUE 0
Current
The latest, up-to-date edition.
This regulation sets legal requirements for managing situations in which controls could be established over unplanned events involving radiation exposure. Such exposures could come from naturally occurring radioactive materials such as radon, from residual radioactive material after a nuclear or radiological emergency has ended (other regulations apply to the emergency phase), or from contaminated food, animal feed, or drinking water. When an existing exposure situation is identified, the regulation states that a responsible entity will propose a strategy to select appropriate measures to protect people and the environment.
