A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Deze norm beschrijft een methode om email te beproeven op bestandheid tegen zuur en het resultaat te bepalen in de vorm van een klasse-indeling. De norm is van toepassing op emails die in contact komen met zwakzure oplossingen bij kamertemperatuur. Voor emails die in contact komen met sterker zure oplossingen en/of zure oplossingen bij een hogere temperatuur wordt voor de bepaling van de zuurbestandheid verwezen naar NEN 2706. Deze norm kan niet worden toegepast voor matte emails.
