A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Deze norm geeft de ligging en grootte van toleranties van kalibers bestemd voor het keuren van werkstukken met toleranties volgens het ISO-passingstelsel. Tevens zijn een aantal richtlijnen betreffende de uitvoeringsvorm van kalibers opgenomen. De norm is van toepassing op kalibers, bestemd voor het keuren van werkstukken met toleranties volgens het ISO passingstelsel in de tolerantieklassen IT 6 t.m. 11 en voor maten 1 t.m. 120 mm. Dit laatste sluit niet uit dat de gegevens ook kunnen worden toegepast op kalibers voor werkstukken met toleranties die buiten dit internationale stesel zijn voorgeschreven.
