Deze EURONORM geldt voor staalsoorten, die bestemd zijn voor verwerking door koudstuiken of koudextrusie en worden geleverd in de vorm van draad of staafdraad. Deze norm omvat de volgende staalgroepen en afmetingen: a) niet voor warmtebehandeling bestemde staalsoorten met een diameter van 2 tot 100 mm, b) carboneerstaal met een diameter van 2 tot 100 mm, c) veredelstaaf met een diameter van 2 tot 100 mm, d) corrosievast staal met een diameter van 5 of na een afzonderlijke overeenkomst van 1,5 tot 15 mm bij ferritische en van 63 mm bij martensitische en austenitische soorten.
