Deze Euronorm betreft het ijken van ijkblokken te gebruiken bij het controleren van meettoestellen voor hardheidsmeting volgens Vickers, volgens de indirecte methode. Deze norm behoeft niet te worden toegepast bij het ijken van proefblokjes die bij routinecontroles van het meettoestel worden gebruikt; de blokken, geijkt overeenkomstig de in deze Euronorm gestelde voorwaarden kunnen echter wel bij een routinecontrole worden gebruikt.
