Le présent document traite des conventions communes nécessaires à l'échange entre chariots et systèmes hotes ainsi qu'à l'échange entre chariots ECG de données relatives au patient (données démographiques, enregistrement, ...), de données relatives aux signaux ECG, des mesures ECG et des résultats de l'interprétation des ECG. Il spécifie le contenu et la structure des informations à échanger entre les chariots ECG numériques et les systèmes de gestion informatique des ECG ainsi qu'avec les autres systèmes informatiques susceptibles de stocker des données ECG.
