La présente Norme européenne définit les limites d'émission et les conditions d'essai relatives aux perturbations électromagnétiques pour les ascenseurs, escaliers mécaniques et trottoirs roulants destinés à être installés de façon permanente dans des bâtiments. Ces limites, cependant, pourraient ne pas assurer une protection totale contre les perturbations causées aux récepteurs de radio et de télévision lorsque de tels appareils sont utilisés en deçà des distances indiquées dans le Tableau 1. La présente norme aborde les conditions d'environnement (humidité, température, etc.) des appareils mentionnées dans la famille des normes EN 81 et dans l'EN 115 pour autant qu'elles aient un rapport avec la Compatibilité Électromagnétique.
