In dieser Europäischen Norm werden Anforderungen an die Gebrauchstauglichkeit freier Ausläufe des Types AB festgelegt, welche für Zuleitungen mit Nennweiten bis einschliesslich DN 250 gelten. Freie Ausläufe gemäss dieser Norm gelten als Einrichtungen zum Schutz von Trinkwasserinstallationen gegen Verunreinigungen. In dieser Norm sind sowohl die Anforderungen an fabrikmässig montierte Bauteile festgelegt als auch die Anforderungen an vor Ort gebaute Freiausläufe.
