Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM behandelt die Isolationskoordination bei Bahnen. Sie ist anwendbar für elektrische Betriebsmittel für den Einsatz in Bahnsignalanlagen, Bahnfahrzeugen und ortsfesten Bahnanlagen bis zu einer Höhe von 2 000 m über Meeresspiegel. Isolationskoordination ist die Auswahl und die Zuordnung der Isolierungen elektrischer Betriebsmittel entsprechend der elektrischen Beanspruchungen und Umgebungsbedingungen unter der Berücksichtigung, dass für gleiche Beanspruchungen und unter den gleichen Bedingungen die Isolierungen immer gleich dimensioniert werden.
