Provides Bellcore's view of proposed generic design criteria & information for Central Office (low specific gravity lead acid battery charging type) power plant control & distribution equipment to be met for a typical BOC. A modular design approach is provided thereby, permitting ease of replacement & incremental growth appropriate with the growth of office capacity. It also describes the generic requirements for plants providing voltages at either plus or minus 24, 48, 130, and 140 volt nominal values. This document is expected to be used in conjunction with TR-EOP-000151.
