Contains Telcordia's view of generic requirements that define grounding methods for metallic frames and electrical power supplies associated with Central Office Stored Program Switching Systems (SPCSS) or other telecommunications systems that are installed as an Isolated Ground Plan. Equipment frame interconnections within the isolated ground plane, the grounding of internal power supplies that power remote loads, the installation of receptacles powered from internal ac power supplies, the sizing of power plant frame grounding conductors, and "girdling" (the encirclement of a grounding conductor by a ring of ferromagnetic material) are also included in the standard.
