Presents Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Basic Access Digital Subscriber Lines. The document was reissued to incorporate changes & additions emanating from standards bodies. Changes include: added requirements for the LT jitter tolerance & limitations; removal of message propagation delay requirements; added allocations for new M-channel bit functions; provided activation at the U reference point without activation at the S/T reference points; added requirements for the quiet mode & insertion loss test functions; revised the dc metallic termination requirements; revised longitudinal balance requirements for the LT; revised procedure for NEXT calibration; & revised location for injecting longitudinal noise to the test loop.
