Presents Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for Common Channel Signaling (CCS) network usage measurement functionality at a Signaling Transfer Point (STP) and/or STP adjunct. Contains CCS usage measurement functionality requirements for usage measurement generation, usage measurement aggregation, detailed usage processing, BAF record formatting, & BAF record transmitting. Also provided are performance requirements for CCS usage measurement functionality. Reliability and quality requirements are also included. This document also addresses operations generic requirements and requirements for supplier support of a product that provides the CCS usage measurement functionality.
