Riguarda l'unificazione delle motrici da adibire al servizio su linee di metropolitana leggera (vedere UNI 8379), in relazione alle prestazioni richieste per ogni singola situazione ed esigenza di trasporto urbano. L'unità di trasporto fondamentale è costituita da una motrice articolata, bidirezionale, a 2 o 3 casse, di acciaio o lega leggera, su 3 o 4 carrelli. Le configurazioni unificate della motrice discendono dall'adozione di criteri di modularità costruttiva degli elementi della cassa e dei vari componenti. Rappresentazione schematica delle motrici, cassa, impianto di frenatura, marcia in multiplo, carichi e caratteristiche strutturali, caratteristiche varie, prestazioni. Origine: UNIFER 17.13.
