Prescrive un metodo per la determinazione del calcio negli acciai mediante spettrometria di assorbimento atomico nella fiamma. Il metodo è applicabile agli acciai non legati e basso legati con tenori di calcio maggiori dello 0,002% (m/m). Il metodo è anche stato applicato con successo ad un acciaio alto legato, mediante opportuna modifica delle soluzioni di taratura in modo da contenere i principali elementi di lega in concentrazioni analoghe a quelle del campione da analizzare.
