Describes a common interface by which bank card originated messages regarding a financial transaction may be interchanged between private systems. Describes message structure, format and content, data elements and values for data elements. The data elements and terminology are derived from ISO 7580. Includes a table of data elements which are incompatible with ISO 7580, and lists changes in terminology.
