A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Outlines maximum acceptable leakage current limits, based on reaction current, for appliances not to be exceeded during normal use and operation when first sold to the consumer. Gives specifications for test procedures and equipment to measure leakage currents. Extra information may be covered in product standards, including conditions for tests and test procedures. Provisions for different leakage current values may be in individual product standards. Confined to use with household and other appliances rate 20 amperes or less with two-wire or three-wire (including grounding conductor) flexible cord connections for use on supply circuits not exceeding 150 volts to ground. Excludes appliances with the grounding connection made to the neutral terminal at the factory
