Provides graphs for the initial determination of maximum recommended velocities in metal pipes of various diameters conveying steam, water, oil, and air.

This Standard sets out recommended maximum fluid velocities in pipeline systems in ships.The pipe materials considered are steel, copper, copper-nickel, and aluminium brass. The pipes are of drawn or extruded construction.Fluids considered are steam, seawater, freshwater, lubricating oil, fuel oil, and air.NOTE: The figures in this Standard are formulated on the basis of merchant ship standards of quality and workmanship and general grades of pipe.
