1.1 This specification covers high-strength, high-conductivity round copper-alloy wire 0.0031 to 0.0720 in. [0.079 to 1.829 mm] in diameter, used for electronic hookup wire. The tensile strength of the wire is 60 ksi [414 MPa] minimum and the electrical conductivity at 20C is 85 % IACS minimum.
