Requirements and methods of test for acid value, saponification value, iodine value, moisture and other volatile matter, melting point, ash, matter soluble in water, pH and sulphur. Does not apply to lanolin for medical or cosmetic use.

This British Standard specifies requirements for anhydrous lanolin suitable for technical uses, for example as an easily removable rust preventative or protective film agent. It is not applicable to lanolin for medical or cosmetic use.
