Basic requirement intended for equipment for use on d.c. or on single phase a.c. supplies up to 250 V and capable of producing a reduced pressure (vacuum) of at least 150 mmHg below an atmospheric pressure of 760 mmHg (i.e. an absolute pressure of 610 mmHg (813 mbar)) for the continuous drainage of body cavities. Provision is made for both low and high air flow types of equipment.
