Describes a photometric method, using 1,10-phenanthroline, for determining iron content of sodium fluoride used for production of aluminium.

This International Standard specifies a photometric method, using 1,10-phenanthroline, for the determination of the iron content of sodium fluoride primarily used for the production of aluminium.

The method is applicable to the determination of iron contents, expressed as Fe2O3, greater than 0,020 % (m/m).
