Specific tests and requirements of Sections 1 and 2 which are applicable to tantalum electrolytic capacitors. Prescribes the test schedule, giving the specific conditions of test and the initial and final measurements as required by Sections 1 and 2.

This section applies to the tantalum electrolytic capacitors listed below, for use in equipment for telecommunication and in electronic devices employing similar techniques:

  1. Plain foil, liquid electrolyte.
  2. Etched foil, liquid electrolyte.
  3. Sintered anode, liquid electrolyte.
  4. Sintered anode, solid electrolyte.
