Measures the heat output of a hydraulic fluid relative to that of a reference fluid when burning in the form of a spray. The test is designed to simulate the hazard in the industrial situation produced by the failure of a pipe or hose at high pressure in which a spray of fluid is formed near to a sustained open flame.
