This British Standard specifies requirements for polyamide fibrous material intended for suppression of explosions in aircraft fuel tanks. The material may be supplied as flat sheets or preformed shapes.

NOTE The material is intended for use in integral, rigid or flexible aircraft fuel tanks containing such fuels as Avtur, Avcat and Avtag at temperatures up to 110 °C with intermittent peaks up to 130 °C.
