CSA Preface This is the first edition of CSA Standard CAN/CSA-ISO/TR 10013, Guidelines for quality management system documentation, which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Technical Report 10013:2001 (first edition, 2001-07-15), currently available from ISO in English only. It replaces CSA Standard CAN/CSA-ISO 10013, published in 1995 under the title Guidelines for developing quality manuals (adoption of ISO 10013:1995). This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope This Technical Report provides guidelines for the development and maintenance of the documentation necessary to ensure an effective quality management system, tailored to the specific needs of the organization.The use of these guidelines will aid in establishing a documented system as required by the applicable quality management system standard. This Technical Report may be used to document management systems other than that of the ISO 9000 family, for example environmental management systems and safety management systems. NOTEWhen a procedure is documented, the term "written procedure" or "documented procedure" is frequently used.
