The method is for the purpose of determining the content of material insoluble in R 12 in refrigerator oils. This method deals with substances contained in the oil which are precipitated from a mixture of refrigerant and oil in the concentration normally found in refrigerators at volatilization temperatures down to -40 degree C (233 K).
