The separation test (T) is used to determine the adhesion strength of fabric plies bonded together with elastomers or other layers of material. These composite fabrics are used in hoses, belts, conveyor belts or tyre casings, for example. The separation test does not apply to artificial leather cloth to be tested in accordance with DIN 53357.
