Werkstoffe, die dieser Norm entsprechen, erfüllen anerkannte Anforderungsniveaus. Jedoch sollte die Auswahl eines Werkstoffs durch einen Anwender für einen besonderen Anwendungsfall auf den tatsächlichen Anforderungen für eine angemessene Leistung in diesem Anwendungsfall beruhen und nicht auf dieser Norm allein.
