Die vorliegende Norm enthält die Mindestanforderungen für die Anfangsprüfung und Messung sowie die Prüfschärfen, die ein mittelgrosses Lichtwellenleiter-1-zu-N-DWDM-Bauteil (dichtes Wellenlängenmultiplex), erfüllen muss, um als Bauteil nach IEC-Norm, Kategorie C - geregelte Umgebung, eingestuft zu werden. Die Anforderungen gelten für Bauteile mit nicht mit Steckern versehenen Einmoden-Anschlussfasern ohne Leiterplatte. Für die Anwendung dieser Norm wird unterschieden zwischen kleinen und grossen 1-zu-N-DWDM-Bauteilen.
