Gives methods to determine the properties of unshaped refractory materials from test pieces that are prepared and stored according to prENV 1402-5 and complement those described in ENV 1402-6. These methods have been adapted from standards for shaped refractory products so they apply to dense and insulating castables, plastic materials and ramming mixes which are defined in ENV 1402-1, before and after firing.
