This specification identifies the requirements for preparation of format letter type Technical Directives (TDs) used to direct the accomplishment and recording of modifications Weapons, Weapon Systems, Support Equipment (SE), including Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). Naval Air Maintenance Trainers (NAMT). Operational Flight Trainers (OFT), related equipment, and companion software system items procured by or for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
