Deze norm beschrijft een methode voor de vervaardiging van proefplaten voor het keuren van plaatstaalemails en geemailleerde plaatstalen producten. Indien bij proeven een massaverlies per oppervlakte kwantitatief moet worden bepaald, moeten speciaal vervaardigde proefplaten worden gebruikt, omdat proefplaten die uit geemailleerde producten gesneden zijn minder nauwkeurige resultaten kunnen opleveren.
