Deze norm beschrijft een methode voor de bepaling van het gehalte aan gepolymeriseerde triglycderiden met behulp van hogedrukvloeistofchromatografie waarbij een gelpermeatiekolom en een brekingsindexdetector wordt toegepast. De norm is van toepassing bij het onderzoek van plantaardige en dierlijke olien en vetten (in het bijzonder gebruikte frituurolien en -vetten) met een gehalte aan gepolymeriseerde triglyceriden groter dan of gelijk aan 5 % (<(cursief)A/A>). De methode wordt in het bijzonder toegepast om de thermische oxidatie beschadiging van gebruikte frituurvetten en -olien vast te stellen.
