Diese Norm legt die Stahlsorten für kornorientiertes Elektroblech und -band in den Nenndicken 0,23 mm, 0,27 mm, 0,30 mm und 0,35 mm fest und im Besonderen allgemeine Anforderungen, magnetische Eigenschaften, geometrische Eigenschaften und Grenzabmasse, technologische Eigenschaften sowie Prüfbedingungen. Diese Norm gilt für kornorientiertes Elektroblech und -band mit Goss-Textur, das im schlussgeglühten Zustand in Form von Tafeln oder Rollen geliefert wird und für den Bau magnetischer Kreise bestimmt ist. Die Erzeugnisse sind in zwei Klassen (normale kornorientierte Erzeugnisse und kornorientierte Erzeugnisse mit hoher Permeabilität) unterteilt. Sie entsprechen dem Abschnitt C 22 der IEC 60404-1.
