Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM legt Anforderungen an Entwurf, Konstruktion und Installation von elektrischen Systemen auf Yachten fest. Sie gilt für Yachten auf Binnengewässern und für Hochseeyachten. Sie bezieht sich auf folgende elektrische Systeme in Yachten mit einer Länge zwischen 24 m und 50 m oder einer Wasserverdrängung von nicht mehr als 500 BRZ: Einphasen-Wechselstromsysteme mit einer Nennspannung bis 250 V, Dreiphasen-Wechselstromsysteme mit einer Nennspannung bis 500 V und Gleichstromsysteme bis 50 V. Sie gilt auch für Dreiphasen-Wechselstromsysteme mit einer Nennspannung bis 500 V auf Yachten mit einer Länge von weniger als 24 m.
