Contains Telcordia's view on the generic requirements applicable to the Real Time Rating System (RTRS) of an operator services system needed to perform timing and rating functions for certain types of operator services calls. The required functions of the RTRS of the operator services system, system architecture, system capabilities, and system considerations (i.e., call rating parameters and rate schedules) are provided. The requirements applicable to the Call Rater (CORA), a subsystem of the RTRS used to perform call rating, are also included. Functions of the Core System, Detection Subsystem, Announcement Subsystem, Operator Subsystem and its interactions with the RTRS and CORA are described. In addition RTRS performance requirements and administrative measurements are provided. Issue 1, Supplement 1: This supplement contains the view of Telcordia on generic requirements for the interface to an external Real-Time Rating System (RTRS). Issue 1, Bulletin 1: This bulletin alerts the industry to the importance of contacting the appropriate customer or potential customer prior to using the real-time rating requirements in either TR-NWT-001164 or its Supplement.
