Identifies Bellcore's view of generic technical requirements of capabilities to test ISDN Primary Rate Access (PRA) from the BCC switch to Customer Premises Equipment. The ISDN PRA transport architectures supported by these requirements are those in which the 1.544 Mb/s PRA signal from the Customer Installation terminates at the switch. It also identifies functions which in Bellcore's view, should be included in an ISDN switch and/or other Network Elements to support test functions at the Physical (Layer 1). Many of the test capabilities may either be integrated into Network Elements or may be provided by a stand-alone test system.
