Provides Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for additional Service Switching Point Capabilities. These capabilities will enable a switch to provide Private Virtual Network (PVN) service. PVN is a new service that uses the public switched network to provide private network features and capabilities. It provides connections for customers within a Local Access and Transport Area (LATA) and, via Interlata Carriers (ICs), connections to other LATAs. Included in these features are connections to and from physical private facilities.
