La specifica tecnica descrive il campionamento da sorgenti fisse ed i procedimenti di estrazione, purificazione e relativa identificazione qualitativa e quantitativa dei PCB diossina simili. La procedura descritta definisce i requisiti per la determinazione dei congeneri di PCB riportati nell'appendice A. Essa si applica ai non- e monoorto PCB definiti da WHO (World Health Organisation). La procedura è ottimizzata per determinare concentrazioni di PCB nell'intervallo di 0,01 ng WHO-TEQPCB/m3.
