La norma specifica i requisiti per la preparazione, le prestazioni, l'imballaggio primario e l'etichettatura dei petardi saltellanti ed i corrispondenti metodi di prova. É applicabile ai fuochi artificiali che sono classificati come petardi saltellanti nella categoria 2 della UNI EN 14035-2, che contengono una composizione di scoppio pirotecnico costituita da polvere nera e che sono contenuti in un imballaggio primario.
