Diese als VDE-Bestimmung gekennzeichnete Norm gilt für das Errichten von Einrichtungen für das Lichtbogenschweissen und verwandte Verfahren zur gewerblichen und industriellen Anwendung. Diese als VDE-Bestimmung gekennzeichnete Norm ergänzt die Festlegungen der als VDE-Bestimmung gekennzeichneten Norm DIN 57100 Teil 410/VDE 0100 Teil 410. Zusätzliche Festlegungen sind in Vorbereitung für das Errichten von: - Einrichtungen zum Lichtbogenschweissen unter erhöhter elektrischer Gefährdung, - Lichtbogenschweisseinrichtungen für den Gebrauch durch Laien, - Einrichtungen für bestimmte Schweissverfahren (zum Beispiel Plasma-Schweissen, -Schneiden und -Spritzen) und für Unterwasserschweissen.
