Diese Internationale Norm gilt für eigenständige Anzeigeleuchten, die dazu vorgesehen sind, ein sichtbares Signal zu geben. Sie sind ausschliesslich für den Betrieb bei Wechselstrom mit einer Bemessungsspannung bis 440 V und einer Bemessungsleistung bis 10 W und entweder für den Freiluft- oder Innenraumeinsatz im Haushalt oder ähnlichen ortsfesten elektrischen Installationen ausgelegt.
