Diese Norm der Reihe IEC 60950 legt die Anforderungen an Einrichtungen der Informationstechnik (ITE) mit eingebauten automatischen Funktionseinheiten fest, die gross genug sind, um einer Person vollen Zugang zu gestatten, oder ähnlich grosse Einrichtungen, die einen teilweisen Zugang zulassen. Diese Anforderungen gelten zusätzlich zu den einschlägigen Anforderungen nach IEC 60950-1.
