A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die funktionale Sicherheit für ESHG-Produkte und Systeme, ein universelles Bussystem, in dem die Funktionen dezentral verteilt und durch gemeinsame Kommunikationsprozesse verbunden sind, fest. Die Anforderungen können auch auf Funktionen von Geräten, die in einem ESHG-System verbunden sind, angewendet werden, wenn für Gerät oder System keine bestimmte Norm zur funktionalen Sicherheit vorhanden ist. Die Anforderungen an die funktionale Sicherheit gelten zusammen mit der entsprechenden Produktnorm für das Gerät, falls eine solche vorhanden ist.
