A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Specifies a number of series of values for use in establishing preferred ratings and tolerances for fixed resistors and capacitors for both ordinary and close tolerance types, intended for use in telecommunications equipment and other electronic equipment employing similar techniques. It is technically identical with IEC 63.
