A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Phase I was intended to define a test method to evaluate thin laminate material. The purpose of Phase II testing was to expand on work done in Phase I by adding a thermal stress cycle to the existing IPC Test method 2.4.39.
